At Freyberg we cultivate a climate of healthy and productive student behaviour based on the following principles:
All students can learn to behave properly
Students are valued as individuals
Discipline is more about teaching, learning and problem solving than about punishment
The best discipline is self-discipline
Everyone has a responsibility for solving problems in the school
Respect the ideas and property of others
Respect school property
Respect the right of other students to learn
Attend all classes and provide a parental explanation if absent
Respect the position and authority of staff members
Obtain a vehicle pass if you wish to travel to school by car or motorcycle (Years 12 & 13)
Wear a helmet if you ride a bike
Wear your uniform correctly at all times
Do not smoke at school or on the way to and from school
Students are likely to be suspended if:
They use drugs or alcohol at school or while on a school activity
They physically assault another student or staff member
They verbally assault a staff member
Uniform Code
In 2015 a new uniform was introduced at year 9. The uniform was reviewed and updated considering comfort, cost, and appearance, whilst maintaining affordability and the school’s navy and gold colours.
We like to see students take pride in their appearance. Our uniform identifies the wearer with the school and we encourage our students to always look well presented. We are very conscious of the cost of education and have endeavoured to keep expenditure to a minimum. In order to do that we stock the uniform in the school (uniform can only be purchased from the school).

Your child will most likely have this laptop for 4-5 years before needing an upgrade or replacement. One thing to consider when purchasing a laptop is its durability. Consider buying a laptop that is more durable and purchasing a laptop bag to help protect their laptop over this time. You will need to talk to a sales rep to check the durability.
